Sexual intimacy may involve kissing, petting, public displays of affection, and oral sex among other acts. It involves at least two people. It does not require a contract or relationship to have sexual intimacy.

This needs the involvement of two people, and cannot be achieved when only one is working towards it. Sexual intimacy can be rewarding. It can be the start of a relationship. It also has innate risks, such as unwanted pregnancies and exposure to sexually transmitted diseases.
