The term hard swap is used frequently by those in the swing lifestyle. It refers to a situation in which two or more couples are free to enjoy nearly all types of sexual activities with other couples, including penetrative sex. Many hard swap swingers, however, still have limits on what they will and won't do in a full swap situation. For instance, some swingers may not participate in anal sex with other couples and others may only be comfortable with same room sex.
A hard swap is also referred to as a full swap.
