In theory, rabbit vibrators sound like the best sex toy possible. Not only do they pleasure two orgasmic pleasure zones at once, but they do it while only requiring one hand—and in a single purchase!

I mean, who wants to say no to that?

In reality, rabbit vibrators are one of those vibrators that can feel like a pipedream—too good to be true. Not only does the rabbit vibrator need to be manufactured to fit YOUR unique anatomy (which is difficult to find!) but it needs to be able to provide sensation to both of those areas at the same time without losing contact with the other area.

And both of those reasons are where rabbit vibrators go wrong. That's why some people choose to use only the shaft of their rabbit vibrator—or who only press the clitoral attachment up against themselves with no interest in inserting the shaft. And hey—if that's how you get your pleasure, I'm not here to judge. Have at it!

But what if rabbit vibrators could be done differently? What if, like the We-Vibe Nova 2, they could fix both of those issues with an innovative design? It'd be a design that allows for a custom-fit both internally and externally, and it'd be a design that managed to keep constant contact with both the clitoris and the g-spot during pleasure.

Well, welcome to the We-Vibe Nova 2 review - where we examine a rabbit vibrator that's managed to do exactly that. Let's see how well it succeeds.

How'd You Use It?

Over the years, I have burned through a LOT of rabbit vibrators. Each time I'd see all of the marketing hype about all of the amazing dual stimulation, and I'd get excited. And I'd buy it. And I'd get to trying it, and you know what? It felt like a super big disappointment. Because of it, I've honestly only reviewed a handful over the years.

I felt broken. The internal part of the rabbit vibrator would regularly feel "too huge" and the clit portion would either be too gentle to be felt or just would miss my clit entirely. Nothing. Quite. Fit.

Honestly, it got to a point where I just assumed I was built "wrong" compared to most people with vulvas—and that's definitely an "ouch" for your self-esteem. Especially when a partner would ask if we could try out a rabbit vibrator they'd found, and I'd have to shoot it down with a "I'm just not normal enough for those to work on me."

That's been my modus operandi for the last ten years for the most part. My luck appears to have changed within the last couple of months, and that's mostly due to manufacturers' new understanding of how different each person's individual anatomy is.

Where rabbit vibrators used to be "one size fits all", a few manufacturers are now taking time to specifically craft sex toy rabbit vibes that can be used on a variety of bodies—including mine. Yay!

The We-Vibe Nova 2 is the easiest "perfect fit" rabbit vibrator I've ever tried. (Yes, if you read my Lora DiCarlo Osé 2 review, you'd know that it offered some serious pleasure for me too, but I'm not sure I'd necessarily qualify the Osé 2's fitting process under "easy" and "effortless"—though it is totally worth it).

We-Vibe Nova 2 was literally an amazing fit right out of the box. (I mean, there was charging, washing, etc. that happened with the "out of the box" part, but you get what I mean!)

With a minor adjustment to the shaft to the most-curved angle, the We-Vibe Nova 2 was an absolute perfect fit for me. The silicone is draggy enough that it does require a bit of patience while inserting it to avoid any "drag" that feels unpleasant (I might consider using a condom with the shaft for subsequent uses to avoid some of that).

Once the We-Vibe Nova 2 is inserted though, it's just downright glorious. The shape of the toy is perfect, and it slides up against the g-spot perfectly. The first couple of thrusts can be a bit on the draggy side (as mentioned above), but once you get past that, it's smooth-sailing and pure-pleasure past that. Like I assumed, due to my clitoris being pretty far away from my vaginal entrance, I had to use the Nova 2's clitoral arm fully "unfolded" to reach the right spot, but it DID reach the right spot. (More about the "clitoral arm" design options below in Product Details!)

Not only did the We-Vibe Nova 2 reach my clitoris, but it was very, very pleasurable too! There was not "hope I can get the right speed and area and pressure to hopefully orgasm" with the Nova 2. Each time I used it, it was actually more of a "oh god, try not to orgasm too quickly so I can get more information about the toy for the review!" instead of any sort of "effort" to try to "wring an orgasm" out of it.

As I've spent a lot of time trying to get some form of orgasm out of other toys, the We-Vibe Nova 2 is amazing in its ability to provide so much pleasure that it isn't a matter of "if" - it's a matter of "how fast".

The clitoral vibrator does keep contact with the clitoris the entire time during all of the thrusting. Shallow thrust, deep thrust, or long thrust: the vibrator stays exactly where I need it to. The clitoral arm moves around (because the toy is moving), but that actually adds more to the pleasure, honestly.

It's always touching the clitoris in some manner, though, and while I thought I'd miss having "strong pressure", the pressure that the We-Vibe Nova 2 provided was more than enough for beyond-easy orgasms.

I'm not the only one who's impressed with the clitoral design of the We-Vibe Nova 2. The reviewer at Coffee and Kink says:

"I can’t overstate how much of a game-changer this design for the external arm is. One of the biggest problems people report with rabbit vibrators is being unable to thrust with them or adjust the angle of the insertable arm without losing clitoral contact. This innovative product has finally cracked that problem."

I love how slender the g-spot shaft is as well. It's thick enough to be noticeable, but it isn't so thick that it's uncomfortable or requires more of a "warm-up" to get it inserted. As mentioned below, it's also the thickest and most-curved in the spots that matter - like the area that connects with the g-spot.

I was worried that the buttons would be frustrating or hard to control when I couldn't easily see them. Nope! There were no accidental button presses, and as I'd looked at the instruction manual beforehand, that was all I needed to know where all of the buttons were located. (I highly recommend knowing where the Toggle button is, at a minimum, as it can be easier to overlook if you don't know that it's there.)

As we've mentioned above, the amazing thing about the We-Vibe Nova 2 is its constant-clit-contact design. The We-Vibe Nova 2 does this through a super-duper flexible clitoral arm that can be used two different ways depending on your anatomical needs.

The first way, you can bend the clitoral arm into itself if your clitoris is located near your vaginal entrance. The other way, (best if your clitoris is further from the vaginal entrance,) the We-Vibe Nova 2's clitoral arm fully extends to give you another inch further from the entrance.

No matter which configuration you end up using, the We-Vibe Nova 2's flexible clitoral arm moves with your body. The Nova 2's clitoral arm stays in the same spot as the "base" of the clitoral arm no matter where you are in your thrust. Since the clitoral arm is entirely flexible, it basically moves freely during each thrust. This also entirely avoids the "clampy-feeling" issue that some rabbit vibrators have.

(It's worth noting that you'll get more "pressure" sensations if you use the Nova 2 with the clit arm bent over itself instead of letting it lay flat, but both ways will contact the clitoris depending on your anatomical needs. Also, the extreme angles of the clitoral arm do not change the vibration intensity on either one of these configurations. The vibrations are just as powerful at-rest as they are when the clitoral arm is bent at its extreme angles.)

Of course, the clitoris is only one part of the puzzle. The other half of the puzzle is a proper g-spot fit. The We-Vibe Nova 2 thinks of that too. The g-spot shaft of the Nova 2 is entirely adjustable. It isn't adjustable in a flexible way like the clitoris, though.

G-spots generally require a "firm touch" and rigid stroking for the most amount of pleasure, so a flexible g-spot shaft wouldn't cut it. Instead, the We-Vibe Nova 2's shaft can be bent at the base of the shaft.

It isn't "easy" to make this bend, and it's definitely a two-handed, lots-of-effort movement. In fact, unless you knew that it was designed to bend, you'd likely think you were going to break the We-Vibe Nova 2 by attempting to bend it. It's THAT solid.

It's very much a design that's crafted to hold its shape and stay in place during the rough pressure of g-spot stimulation. For that, I very much appreciate its design. Yes, initially bending it can be a bit annoying and tough, but once it's in your unique spot, there's never a need to change it again.

The We-Vibe Nova 2 is made from silicone. It's a really smooth silicone with the littlest amount of plush to it. It's enough plush to make it comfortable for constant grinding and rigidly pressing it up against your pleasure spots, but it's not plush enough to feel super-soft.

I wouldn't have noticed this unless I was poking around the We-Vibe Nova 2 for the review (the things you notice when you're going over a vibrator with a fine-tooth comb!) but the plushy/non-plushy areas are specifically built into the design of the We-Vibe Nova 2 itself. It isn't like the entire shaft is covered in the same amount of plush.

The very tip has the most padding (to reduce discomfort in case you hit the end of the canal) while the g-spot-stroking side has the least amount (for a more-rigid touch to the g-spot).

On the clitoral arm, the side that contacts the clitoris feels the least plush, while the stem of the clitoral arm and the backside of the clitoral arm are much plushier. The handle/button area has no padding at all.

The entire silicone rabbit vibe is covered in this layer of silicone with no non-silicone layers. The silicone does have a bit of a grippy/draggy sensation to it, and I really recommend adding some external lube. Your vaginal wetness may not be enough to keep this from feeling a bit tuggy on your internal bits. For comparison, the silicone isn't nearly as silky-smooth as LELO toys' silicone, but it's also not nearly as draggy/grippy as the glossy silicone Tantus dildos either.

Finally, let's touch on the vibrations of the We-Vibe Nova 2. They're pretty darn strong. We-Vibe is known for their strong, rumbly vibrations, and the We-Vibe Nova 2 doesn't let us down. They aren't as strong as the We-Vibe Rave, but they're much stronger than the vibrations found in the We-Vibe Couple's vibrators. That being said, the vibrations tend to be strongest in the clitoral arm, so yay! Exactly where most of us need that power.

The We-Vibe Rave is one of the most-powerful non-wand massager vibrators I've ever used, so maybe it isn't the most accurate thing to compare the We-Vibe Nova 2 to (but if you own the Rave, you know what I'm talking about). The We-Vibe Nova 2, especially in the clitoral arm, is stronger than most g-spot vibrators and noticeably more powerful than pretty much any bullet vibrator (aside from the We-Vibe Tango). It doesn't equal the power of a wand massager, but expecting that from a rabbit vibrator is unrealistic.

You'd think those vibrations would come with some noticeable noise, but nope, nothing. With the We-Vibe Nova 2 inserted, it's actually hard for ME to hear it while using it. It's almost silent in the exact same room, and it's impossible to hear outside of a closed door—even without any other noise going on. The We-Vibe Nova 2 is a bit louder when it's outside of a body, but even then, it's still hard to hear it, even while I'm HOLDING the vibrator—much less someone else hearing it. It's just downright impressive.

How It Works

The We-Vibe Nova 2 has five buttons on the handle. All of these buttons are pretty accessible, and none of them easily get inadvertently pressed while inserting the toy. They require a distinctive downward pressure, and they don't tend to respond to the dispersed pressure of a thumb that's attempting to thrust the vibrator.

It needs an intentional "tip of the thumb" movement most people do to press a button. Once you press down the buttons, though, they respond easily with a gentle, satisfying "click".

The We-Vibe Nova 2's five buttons include:

< and > buttons
Toggle button

The + and - buttons increase and decrease the vibration patterns. If you want to go straight for balls-out pleasure, you can hold the + button to get quickly to maximum vibration. The < and > buttons allow you to scroll through the different patterns.

Since these two functions are on different buttons (patterns and vibration intensity) that means that, yes, you can control the intensity of each one of the vibration patterns to make it more or less intense.

The last button, the Toggle button, is actually the most important button. This button allows you to switch between the motors of the We-Vibe Nova 2. By default, when you turn the We-Vibe Nova 2 on, the vibrations can only be felt in the clitoral arm.

Pressing the Toggle button turns off the clitoral arm and turns on the g-spot shaft motor. Another press of the Toggle button and both motors turn on simultaneously.

In a really unique method of vibration, the We-Vibe Nova 2 can do any of the patterns in any of the Toggle combinations. If you like the Dot-Dot-Dash vibration pattern, it can be on the shaft-only, clit-only, or both motors.

This is definitely unique for a rabbit vibrator; you can rarely choose exactly where you want the vibration patterns at any given moment.
