The carpet burn position is a face-to-face kneeling position. To get into this position, the penetrating partner kneels down then lifts one leg so that the foot is on the ground and knee is bent at 90 degrees. The receiving partner then kneels down in front of their partner and both thrust together.
This position allows for intimacy between partners because they are face-to-face. It is also great for spontaneous sex because the only thing that is needed is a floor. The biggest downside to this position is that it can cause carpet burn, so be sure to put down something to protect the knees. This position may also not be suitable for those with sensitive knees.
