The basket is a face-to-face sex position in which the giving partner is sitting upright with legs outstretched and the receiving partner sits with either leg on the sides of the partner. Both partners hang onto one another to maintain balance.
To maintain balance in this position, the bottom partner might keep one knee bent and hold the hips of the receiving partner. In this position, the receiving partner is in control of the movements, and the giving partner receives a great view of the other partner. This position is more intimate, as it allows for kissing and eye contact.
