Our Favorite Sex Toy Reviewers Pick the Top Toys of 2015

Published: DECEMBER 22, 2015 | Updated: JANUARY 17, 2022
We asked the top-ranked sex reviewers from our Top 100 Sex Blogging Superheroes of 2015 to dish about the best sex toys they've reviewed this year.

There are a lot of sex toys out there, people. A lot. You might not appreciate just how vast the market is, but let us assure you that there are vibrators and cock rings and strokers galore. More than you can even imagine. In fact, we'd bet that there are more than enough dildos to stretch all the way around the world - perhaps more than once! But while choice is definitely a good thing if you're looking to add a new (or first) toy to your collection, it does have its downsides. Too many choices - even when it means sorting out whether you need 6 or 8 inches of dildo - can take the fun out of what should be a sexy, empowering shopping experience.

We'd like to make things a little easier. We've asked the top-ranked sex reviewers from our Top 100 Sex Blogging Superheroes of 2015 to dish about the best sex toys they've reviewed this year. And, while choosing just the right toy is an undoubtedly personal venture, we hope their top picks will help you narrow things down a bit. Enjoy!Hitachi Magic Wand Rechargeable

Our Favorite Reviewers Pick the Top Toys of 2015

This year's release of the brand-new edition of the iconic Magic Wand was met with much excitement - and the toy really delivered. Here's what our top-ranked reviewer, Epiphora, had to say about it:

"My life has been forever changed now that I'm no longer tied to the wall when I use my Magic Wand. This new version has two lower settings that adequately ramp up to the two notoriously powerful higher ones ... oh, and it runs for 4.5 hours on a single charge."

OK, we'll be the first to admit that this thing is a little strange looking, but it's actually a pretty great idea. It's a sturdy aluminum arc designed to work with suction cup sex toys. Because of its unique shape and design, you can ride it, rock it and prop it against the wall or furniture for all different angles and experiences. Here's what David over at the The Big Gay Review had to say about why he recommends it:

"Never has reviewing a toy been so much fun. The LoveArc is like a piece of playground equipment for the bedroom (or anywhere else you want to take it) - you can rock it, ride it, straddle it and give all of those suction cup toys a brand new lease on life. Great solo or with a partner, the LoveArc is just pure FUN.”

Minna kGoal

Pelvic floor strength is so important to sexual health, but even if you're exercising that little coochie as much as you can, it's hard to know if you're getting results. kGoal is a nifty exerciser that is inserted in the vagina and provides biofeedback in the form of vibration to let you know how hard you're squeezing. You can also pair it with a mobile device to get a strength and endurance score - and track your progress over time. Neat, right? And did we mention that a stronger pelvic floor means bigger, stronger orgasms? Are you feeling motivated to exercise, or what? Here's what Erika Moen of Oh Joy, Sex Toy had to say about kGoal, and why she chose it as her favorite toy of 2015:

"The kGoal is brilliant! I never had understood if I was actually engaging my kegel muscles when I'd try to do those recommended exercises, but with the haptic feedback of the kGoal and its app I now had NO QUESTION. And, surprisingly, it's SUPER FUN to use too!"

Rabbit-style vibes tend to get mixed reviews. Everyone's anatomy is a bit different, so a shape that might create fireworks for one person, can easily fizzle for another. The L'amourose Denia got Dangerous Lilly's stamp of approval thanks to its flexible arms. Here's what she had to say about it:

"Historically I've been let down by "rabbit" or dual-stimulation vibrators. They never fit right and the Denia made me realize why - I needed something powerful enough (check) with flex at the base of both "arms" (check). Only the Denia has given me the flex I needed for a perfect fit."

We-Vibe Tango

The simple We-Vibe Tango isn't a new toy, but it always seems to be gaining new fans. It looks so simple, but its deceptively rumbly, powerful vibration tend to win people over. Here's what Miss Ruby of Miss Ruby Reviews had to say about it:

"The Tango doesn’t seek to impress with any stunning design or appearance. It doesn’t need to. The Tango is a small, quaint little object. When I held it in my hand for the first time, it was so underwhelming that I wondered how something so ordinary-looking could get such good reviews. But it's the strongest vibe I've experienced to date."

If a sex toy had a personality, the Big Boss would be be fun-loving, stylish and oh-so-confident. This toy is big, bold, powerful and beautifully made - it's also an extra powerful upgrade to the previous G4 model. In fact, sex toy reviewer Little Spoon of Always the Little Spoon called it a "ferocious BEAST." Here's what she had to say about it - and why she chose it as her favorite toy of 2015:

"Unabashedly bright, girthy and dick-shaped with vibrations that are super powerful, deep and rumbly to boot, the Big Boss G5 is a formidable sex toy for those who prefer their insertables on the larger side. The Big Boss is my new found BFF."

Jopen Lust L2

This clitoral vibe from Jopen is cute as a button and unassuming, but don't be fooled: reviewers tell us that it is well-made, well-designed and that it vibrates like a much bigger vibe. Here's what Dizzy Girl of Toy Meets Girl had to say about the L2:

"The Jopen Lust L2 has become my go-to clit vibe. It has everything I want in a clit vibe - strong, rumbly vibration, waterproof, rechargeable, body-safe silicone and even a travel lock. You get all these features at a really fantastic price too. I highly recommend this vibe."

The X2 Orgasmatron has been generating a lot of buzz lately. It's a bit of an odd beast, but sometimes it pays to be different. This toy bills itself as a sex machine, and for those who love power, it really delivers. Plus, it can be used with a number of different attachments, because: more options! (The X2 with the Jane attachment is shown above.) Here's what Mary Q Contrary of Confessions of a Sex Toy Rep had to say about the X2:

"We're happy to share our love for the Orgasmatronics X2! It's not a vibrator so much as it is a hand-held sex machine. The benefits far outweigh its limitations and it's truly an innovative product, and a must-have for forced orgasm dungeon set-up or anyone who needs lots of power."
