Why play with a boring, ol' butt plug when you can have a fancy one with a tail? (I mean, there are pros and cons to both, but still!) It's a butt plug with a tail!

The Crystal Delights My Lil Pony Tail is a gorgeous glass butt plug that's attached to a flowing, romantically curled 15" length of high-quality synthetic wig hair. When the beginner-friendly glass anal plug is slid into the butt, the entire length of the synthetic wig hair hangs outside of the butt. In effect, you end up with your own tail.

While you can certainly find other butt plug tails out there, the Crystal Delights My Lil Pony Tail plugs stand out for three reasons:

1. The quality.
2. The full-body length and volume of the tail itself.
3. The colors.

This My Lil Pony Tail is made from high-quality, synthetic wig hair and a strong borosilicate glass plug. The tail, which is available in a wide variety of pastel colors, is perfectly styled and makes a very impactful visual statement when you're wearing it. Essentially, it's an amazing tail plug—but let's get into why.

How'd You Use It?

Talk about a beautiful visual! The Crystal Delights My Lil Pony Tail plug is one heck of a beautiful statement in the bedroom. While pony play has its devotees and tail plugs of all sorts have been popular for a while, most of them are short tails or very thin tails. The Crystal Delights tail plug takes it to the next level with a long "pony tail" that hits past the knees - and probably even lower if you aren't 6' tall.

The plug slides in so easily because of the glass. The little tapered tip helps a little bit, but it would definitely be best to have experience with anal toys around this range if you want it to go really smoothly.

Glass is extremely rigid, so keep in mind that the 1.3" width is going to feel like the full 1.3". (Your Crystal Delights My Lil Pony Tail might be slightly larger or slightly smaller as each one of these plugs is hand-made!)

This My Lil Pony Tail plug did feel a bit on the small side for us, sensation-wise, but that's because we're used to larger and thicker toys. I'm actually glad the My Lil Pony Tail Plug has that 1.3" diameter.

It's a very-reasonable diameter that most people are likely to be able to take within a try or two—or possibly their very first anal experience.

The 1.3" diameter of the glass plug means that it's very-doable for people who like larger toys, and it's likely doable (with some patience!) for those who are still new to anal play. Essentially, it's a size that works well for everyone, and it's hard to argue with that.

Once the plug is inside the body, the long retention neck really helps it stay in. We used too much lube the first time, and it was slowly sliding out (and that was a bit aggravating), but on subsequent tries, a little bit less lube really helped it stay in place. It worked fine for walking around - though jumping around will slowly shake the plug out over time.

You certainly can wear underwear with the plug, but it will definitely get in the way of the visual aesthetic of the plug's tail. Jock-style underwear or a thong will provide some coverage while also allowing the plug to mostly hang out undisturbed. For us, the visual of the pretty pink tail was a bit draw of this tail butt plug, so it was always used bare-bottomed—and it looks great that way!

This swivel base means that the tail is always able to swivel, and it isn't statically attached. In reality, that means that, even if the plug gets twisted around inside of your bum as you wear it and walk around, the tail portion is always freely hanging towards the ground. It won't bunch up or get moved around at awkward angles like some tail butt plugs tend to do.

It's actually a fantastically innovative design, and I love the fact that it's built into the plug itself. The swivel is virtually invisible unless you look at the proper angles, and it's entirely invisible when the plug is in the butt.

There's no space between the plug's base and the start of the tail because the tail is directly attached inside of the plug - which is perfect if that's the illusion you're going for when wearing it.

Made from high-grade wig hair, the strands of the tail arrived in gentle, romantic curls. It really adds a whole lot to the visual of wearing the plug versus the visual of "straight" hair. The strands are fully individual, and just like wig hair, you could choose to "style" the hair if that's your jam. The hair has a lot of volume (as you can see in the pictures) and is available in lavender, pink, blue, pastel rainbow or vibrant rainbow

The butt plug itself is made from borosilicate glass. It is a gorgeous, clear glass. The tip of the glass plug is slightly tapered to make for very easy insertion, and the plug has a large retention area (the thin "neck" between the base and the bulb) that helps it stay inside of the booty.

The plug inserts really smoothly because of its glass design, but like any anal toy, make sure you use some lube with it. I'd definitely recommend water-based lube as it will wash out of the tail better than any alternatives.

How It Works

The Crystal Delights My Lil Pony Tail butt plug is pretty simple to use! Just add a dab of water-based lube to the anal plug, slather it around the plug, and gently insert the plug into the butt. While I'd normally recommend ensuring you overly lube everything insertable, you want to go easy on the lube with the My Lil Pony tail.

Not only does that help reduce excess lubricant getting all over the tail, but the plug is made from glass. Glass only requires a fraction of the lube that silicone and other matte material toys require. In addition, overly lubricating the toy will make it more likely that the My Lil Pony butt plug will slowly slide its way out of the butt, and that's no fun for anyone.

So add a bit of lube, spread it around thoroughly, and press it against the butt. If it feels lubricated, continue on! If you're still feeling a bit of drag against the plug, slide it back out, add more lube, and try again.

All-in-all, with the very-reasonable plug size, the tapered tip, and the glass plug, the Crystal Delights My Lil Pony Tail slides in really easily - usually within 30 seconds after you start!

Materials and Care

A beautiful and elaborate butt plug like this doesn't come without its care needs - and its care needs are not quite as simple as a standard butt plug.

The plug, which is made from borosilicate glass, is the easiest part to care for. Borosilicate glass is a type of glass that's thick and sturdy. Essentially, if you ever happen to drop this plug onto a hard surface and it cracks, it will crack into large chunks instead of shattering into tons of pieces.

It's similar to glass bakeware like that. Have you seen one of those intense, glass, casserole dishes? It will behave a bit like that if it were to get dropped.

That being said, you can still chip off parts of the plug if you aren't careful. Before every use of the glass plug, I highly recommend running your fingers and palm around the length of the plug.

Not only would this be a good time to lube the plug with water-based lube anyway, but it gives you a chance to ensure there aren't any sharp edges and the plug is safe for play. (You should always do this with any glass insertable before playing! Plus, glass is just fun to feel!)

Warm water and mild soap will clean the glass plug perfectly. Try to avoid getting too much soap on the tail portion itself unless you happened to get lube and bodily fluids into the tail portion and it needs a clean.

The synthetic wig hair of the tail requires its own special care. Do not comb the tail every day as it may damage the synthetic fibers. After washing, rinse your tail in cold water with the water flowing in the same direction.

Don't style your tail when it's wet, and don't use hair dye on the tail. You can condition the tail once in a while to keep it shiny but don't over-condition. If you're going to be using external products on the tail plug, choose items specifically designed for synthetic wig hair.

To detangle the tail, Crystal Delights recommends using a wig brush and gentle strokes starting at the ends of the tail.

Do not allow your My Lil Pony Tail to be crushed or bent in storage. This will flatten the hair and possibly destroy it. Try to lay it or hang it in a way that will help it maintain its style and shape. Store the tail in a cool, dry place with as little dust as possible.

The Packaging

Like always, this plug came packaged from Kinkly Shop in completely discreet packaging. It was a plain brown box, nicely taped, with absolutely nothing adult on the outside.

Opening up that box, the Crystal Delights My Lil Pony Tail was wrapped within layers of crumple paper and bendable cardstock. It isn't the most glamorous of entrances, but for shipping a glass plug through the mail, it works wonders for protecting it.

The plug has a small tag on it that marks it as a genuine Crystal Delights product, but aside from that, you'll need to reference the Kinkly Shop website for more information about care and feeding of your My Lil Pony Tail. It isn't found on the packaging itself.

The My Lil Pony Tail only comes with the tail itself. It's all one piece.The Verdict:(out of five)

Every inch of the Crystal Delights My Lil Pony Tail is full of attention to detail. The "tail" hair feels even more luxurious than some of my wigs, and the fact that it has been romantically curled adds even more to the appearance.

I love that the My Lil Pony Tail itself is on an "invisible" swivel on the base of the plug, so the tail is always pointing straight downward - even if the plug gets wiggled around.

Finally, I love the plug itself. The glass feels very luxurious, and it matches perfectly with the tail whenever the plug is removed too.

I'll only caution about the plug size. If you're someone who regularly takes thick toys, you might find the plug a bit small for keeping inside the body. If you're someone who usually plays with toys in the 1.5" diameter mark or so (which is around the average diameter of a biological human penis), the size of the plug will be more-than-manageable and should stay within the body wonderfully.
