Updated: MARCH 14, 2019

Viagra, which has the generic name of Sildenafil, is a drug that is mainly formulated to treat men with erectile dysfunction. It may also be used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension. However, it has yet to show effectiveness as a treatment for women's sexual problems. As with any manufactured drug, it comes with side effects. The most common are heartburn, flushed skin, and headaches. There are also a few rare cases where erections are abnormally prolonged and painful; and where usage cause hearing loss. One should consult with a doctor before taking Viagra.

More About Viagra

While there are already daunting side effects to ill-advised or unregulated intake of Viagra, there are actually men who take this abuse up a notch by mixing it up with ecstasy. This practice is called sextacy. It's supposed to increase the euphoric feeling one derives from sex. The bad news is that it may also prove lethal. The better approach to sexual problems or the need for more ecstatic sex is the regulated intake of Viagra.
