Corporate Marriage

Updated: JULY 18, 2016

A corporate marriage is a form of group marriage that is registered as a legal entity. The purpose of incorporation is to detail the financial responsibilities of each of the partners. This makes a corporate marriage potentially better organized than non-corporate ones. When members know what's expected of them and that they are legally bound to provide, it is easier to hold each partner accountable for the health of the marriage.

More About Corporate Marriage

A corporate marriage sounds unromantic and very impersonal. However, this may be where its strengths lie. Traditional marriages sometimes take financial responsibilities for granted. These responsibilities may not be discussed up until the end of the honeymoon period, where the partners are scrambling to support their kids through school. Financial crises happen all the time. As in a corporate marriage, it pays to be clear about expectations.
