Cinching

Updated: MAY 11, 2020

Cinching refers to either a form of body modification or bondage. It entails wearing a cincher, such as a corset. Sometimes, rope is used in cinching. This practice has similarities to rope bondage. In cinching using a rope, the rope is winded around the person's limbs and a fixed object. A loop of rope is passed through the windings to secure the knot.

More About Cinching

Like rope bondage, cinching should only be done by professionals or people who have specialized training. Prolonged cinching can cause strain on the muscles and nerves because it limits movement and blood circulation. A person who undergoes cinching should remain aware of his or her body. Once fatigue is felt, it is best to take off the cincher.
