Kinkly explains Slash Fiction
Slash fiction is a term often exclusively referring to the fictional relationships of two male characters. The term femslash is used for female focused slash fiction. Classic slash fiction pairs characters such as Kirk and Spock in a romantic/sexual relationship. Starsky and Hutch would be another example. Slash fiction has been noted in the LGBT community as well as the feminist community as a rebellion to the notion of compulsory heterosexuality.
