Female sexual dysfunction (FSD) is a general term used to describe any type of abnormal female sexual response or sexual desire.

There are different types of FSD and an individual may suffer from any one or combination of the following:

  • Low sexual desire
  • Sexual arousal disorder - inability to become aroused or maintain arousal during sexual activity
  • Orgasmic disorder - ongoing difficulty achieving orgasm
  • Sexual pain disorder - pain associated with vaginal penetration or contact

There can be many causes of female sexual dysfunction, including physical and mental elements. FSD is treatable through various different methods.
