A micropenis is a penis that is at least 2.5 standard deviations smaller than the average human penis size. A penis that is smaller than 7 cm (2 3/4") when compared to the average which is 12.5 cm (5 in") is considered a micropenis. There are a variety of causes for the occurrence of a micropenis including in utero exposure to estrogen associated with some fertility drugs. The condition occurs in about 0.6% of males and can be associated with other conditions of the reproductive system.
