Animism

Definition - What does Animism mean?

In general, animism refers to the belief that non-human entities have souls or spiritual essences. These entities can take the form of plants, animals, and inanimate objects. People who practice animism believe that there is no distinction between the physical and material world. Everything and everyone has a soul. The practice of animism extends outside tribal communities.
