In reality, rabbit vibrators are one of those vibrators that can feel like a pipedream—too good to be true. Not only does the rabbit vibrator need to be manufactured to fit YOUR unique anatomy (which is difficult to find!) but it needs to be able to provide sensation to both of those areas at the same time without losing contact with the other area.
And both of those reasons are where rabbit vibrators go wrong. That's why some people choose to use only the shaft of their rabbit vibrator—or who only press the clitoral attachment up against themselves with no interest in inserting the shaft. And hey—if that's how you get your pleasure, I'm not here to judge. Have at it!
But what if rabbit vibrators could be done differently? What if, like the We-Vibe Nova 2, they could fix both of those issues with an innovative design? It'd be a design that allows for a custom-fit both internally and externally, and it'd be a design that managed to keep constant contact with both the clitoris and the g-spot during pleasure.
Well, welcome to the We-Vibe Nova 2 review - where we examine a rabbit vibrator that's managed to do exactly that. Let's see how well it succeeds.
Over the years, I have burned through a LOT of rabbit vibrators. Each time I'd see all of the marketing hype about all of the amazing dual stimulation, and I'd get excited. And I'd buy it. And I'd get to trying it, and you know what? It felt like a super big disappointment. Because of it, I've honestly only reviewed a handful over the years.
I felt broken. The internal part of the rabbit vibrator would regularly feel "too huge" and the clit portion would either be too gentle to be felt or just would miss my clit entirely. Nothing. Quite. Fit.
Honestly, it got to a point where I just assumed I was built "wrong" compared to most people with vulvas—and that's definitely an "ouch" for your self-esteem. Especially when a partner would ask if we could try out a rabbit vibrator they'd found, and I'd have to shoot it down with a "I'm just not normal enough for those to work on me."
That's been my modus operandi for the last ten years for the most part. My luck appears to have changed within the last couple of months, and that's mostly due to manufacturers' new understanding of how different each person's individual anatomy is.
Where rabbit vibrators used to be "one size fits all", a few manufacturers are now taking time to specifically craft sex toy rabbit vibes that can be used on a variety of bodies—including mine. Yay!
The We-Vibe Nova 2 is the easiest "perfect fit" rabbit vibrator I've ever tried. (Yes, if you read my Lora DiCarlo Osé 2 review, you'd know that it offered some serious pleasure for me too, but I'm not sure I'd necessarily qualify the Osé 2's fitting process under "easy" and "effortless"—though it is totally worth it).
We-Vibe Nova 2 was literally an amazing fit right out of the box. (I mean, there was charging, washing, etc. that happened with the "out of the box" part, but you get what I mean!)
With a minor adjustment to the shaft to the most-curved angle, the We-Vibe Nova 2 was an absolute perfect fit for me. The silicone is draggy enough that it does require a bit of patience while inserting it to avoid any "drag" that feels unpleasant (I might consider using a condom with the shaft for subsequent uses to avoid some of that).
Once the We-Vibe Nova 2 is inserted though, it's just downright glorious. The shape of the toy is perfect, and it slides up against the g-spot perfectly. The first couple of thrusts can be a bit on the draggy side (as mentioned above), but once you get past that, it's smooth-sailing and pure-pleasure past that. Like I assumed, due to my clitoris being pretty far away from my vaginal entrance, I had to use the Nova 2's clitoral arm fully "unfolded" to reach the right spot, but it DID reach the right spot. (More about the "clitoral arm" design options below in Product Details!)
Not only did the We-Vibe Nova 2 reach my clitoris, but it was very, very pleasurable too! There was not "hope I can get the right speed and area and pressure to hopefully orgasm" with the Nova 2. Each time I used it, it was actually more of a "oh god, try not to orgasm too quickly so I can get more information about the toy for the review!" instead of any sort of "effort" to try to "wring an orgasm" out of it.
As I've spent a lot of time trying to get some form of orgasm out of other toys, the We-Vibe Nova 2 is amazing in its ability to provide so much pleasure that it isn't a matter of "if" - it's a matter of "how fast".
The clitoral vibrator does keep contact with the clitoris the entire time during all of the thrusting. Shallow thrust, deep thrust, or long thrust: the vibrator stays exactly where I need it to. The clitoral arm moves around (because the toy is moving), but that actually adds more to the pleasure, honestly.
It's always touching the clitoris in some manner, though, and while I thought I'd miss having "strong pressure", the pressure that the We-Vibe Nova 2 provided was more than enough for beyond-easy orgasms.
I'm not the only one who's impressed with the clitoral design of the We-Vibe Nova 2. The reviewer at Coffee and Kink says:
"I can’t overstate how much of a game-changer this design for the external arm is. One of the biggest problems people report with rabbit vibrators is being unable to thrust with them or adjust the angle of the insertable arm without losing clitoral contact. This innovative product has finally cracked that problem."
I love how slender the g-spot shaft is as well. It's thick enough to be noticeable, but it isn't so thick that it's uncomfortable or requires more of a "warm-up" to get it inserted. As mentioned below, it's also the thickest and most-curved in the spots that matter - like the area that connects with the g-spot.
I was worried that the buttons would be frustrating or hard to control when I couldn't easily see them. Nope! There were no accidental button presses, and as I'd looked at the instruction manual beforehand, that was all I needed to know where all of the buttons were located. (I highly recommend knowing where the Toggle button is, at a minimum, as it can be easier to overlook if you don't know that it's there.)
As we've mentioned above, the amazing thing about the We-Vibe Nova 2 is its constant-clit-contact design. The We-Vibe Nova 2 does this through a super-duper flexible clitoral arm that can be used two different ways depending on your anatomical needs.
The first way, you can bend the clitoral arm into itself if your clitoris is located near your vaginal entrance. The other way, (best if your clitoris is further from the vaginal entrance,) the We-Vibe Nova 2's clitoral arm fully extends to give you another inch further from the entrance.
No matter which configuration you end up using, the We-Vibe Nova 2's flexible clitoral arm moves with your body. The Nova 2's clitoral arm stays in the same spot as the "base" of the clitoral arm no matter where you are in your thrust. Since the clitoral arm is entirely flexible, it basically moves freely during each thrust. This also entirely avoids the "clampy-feeling" issue that some rabbit vibrators have.
(It's worth noting that you'll get more "pressure" sensations if you use the Nova 2 with the clit arm bent over itself instead of letting it lay flat, but both ways will contact the clitoris depending on your anatomical needs. Also, the extreme angles of the clitoral arm do not change the vibration intensity on either one of these configurations. The vibrations are just as powerful at-rest as they are when the clitoral arm is bent at its extreme angles.)
Of course, the clitoris is only one part of the puzzle. The other half of the puzzle is a proper g-spot fit. The We-Vibe Nova 2 thinks of that too. The g-spot shaft of the Nova 2 is entirely adjustable. It isn't adjustable in a flexible way like the clitoris, though.
G-spots generally require a "firm touch" and rigid stroking for the most amount of pleasure, so a flexible g-spot shaft wouldn't cut it. Instead, the We-Vibe Nova 2's shaft can be bent at the base of the shaft.
It isn't "easy" to make this bend, and it's definitely a two-handed, lots-of-effort movement. In fact, unless you knew that it was designed to bend, you'd likely think you were going to break the We-Vibe Nova 2 by attempting to bend it. It's THAT solid.
It's very much a design that's crafted to hold its shape and stay in place during the rough pressure of g-spot stimulation. For that, I very much appreciate its design. Yes, initially bending it can be a bit annoying and tough, but once it's in your unique spot, there's never a need to change it again.
The We-Vibe Nova 2 is made from silicone. It's a really smooth silicone with the littlest amount of plush to it. It's enough plush to make it comfortable for constant grinding and rigidly pressing it up against your pleasure spots, but it's not plush enough to feel super-soft.
I wouldn't have noticed this unless I was poking around the We-Vibe Nova 2 for the review (the things you notice when you're going over a vibrator with a fine-tooth comb!) but the plushy/non-plushy areas are specifically built into the design of the We-Vibe Nova 2 itself. It isn't like the entire shaft is covered in the same amount of plush.
The very tip has the most padding (to reduce discomfort in case you hit the end of the canal) while the g-spot-stroking side has the least amount (for a more-rigid touch to the g-spot).
On the clitoral arm, the side that contacts the clitoris feels the least plush, while the stem of the clitoral arm and the backside of the clitoral arm are much plushier. The handle/button area has no padding at all.
The entire silicone rabbit vibe is covered in this layer of silicone with no non-silicone layers. The silicone does have a bit of a grippy/draggy sensation to it, and I really recommend adding some external lube. Your vaginal wetness may not be enough to keep this from feeling a bit tuggy on your internal bits. For comparison, the silicone isn't nearly as silky-smooth as LELO toys' silicone, but it's also not nearly as draggy/grippy as the glossy silicone Tantus dildos either.

Finally, let's touch on the vibrations of the We-Vibe Nova 2. They're pretty darn strong. We-Vibe is known for their strong, rumbly vibrations, and the We-Vibe Nova 2 doesn't let us down. They aren't as strong as the We-Vibe Rave, but they're much stronger than the vibrations found in the We-Vibe Couple's vibrators. That being said, the vibrations tend to be strongest in the clitoral arm, so yay! Exactly where most of us need that power.
The We-Vibe Rave is one of the most-powerful non-wand massager vibrators I've ever used, so maybe it isn't the most accurate thing to compare the We-Vibe Nova 2 to (but if you own the Rave, you know what I'm talking about). The We-Vibe Nova 2, especially in the clitoral arm, is stronger than most g-spot vibrators and noticeably more powerful than pretty much any bullet vibrator (aside from the We-Vibe Tango). It doesn't equal the power of a wand massager, but expecting that from a rabbit vibrator is unrealistic. The We-Vibe Nova 2 has five buttons on the handle. All of these buttons are pretty accessible, and none of them easily get inadvertently pressed while inserting the toy. They require a distinctive downward pressure, and they don't tend to respond to the dispersed pressure of a thumb that's attempting to thrust the vibrator. It needs an intentional "tip of the thumb" movement most people do to press a button. Once you press down the buttons, though, they respond easily with a gentle, satisfying "click". Since these two functions are on different buttons (patterns and vibration intensity) that means that, yes, you can control the intensity of each one of the vibration patterns to make it more or less intense. Pressing the Toggle button turns off the clitoral arm and turns on the g-spot shaft motor. Another press of the Toggle button and both motors turn on simultaneously. This is definitely unique for a rabbit vibrator; you can rarely choose exactly where you want the vibration patterns at any given moment. That being said, it's 5-button control structure does have one limitation, and that is that you can't assign two separate patterns to two different motors. It's only able to do the one pattern (including the "steady vibrations" pattern) at a time between the two motors (without the help of the app!) The We-Vibe We-Connect App opens up a TON of different ways to interact with your We-Vibe Nova 2—including all of those "customized vibrations" things that weren't possible with the control buttons alone. The We-Vibe We-Connect App allows for: The app connects quickly and easily to the We-Vibe Nova 2 by holding down the toggle button. It doesn't require set-up of a profile in order to use the majority of the control features. Connecting with another partner doesn't appear to require a set-up of a profile either; it looks to use IP address and other details. "One of my biggest complaints about the app in my last review that featured it was glitches that occurred during partner use, and while some of these seem to be gone, there are still a fair few, with the lag when my partner controlled the toy, in regards to both my screen and the Nova 2, being particularly bad. Overall though I had a good time using this app, and while it could still use some improvements to its couples play I was ultimately able to do everything I wanted with it." As the We-Vibe Nova 2 is entirely waterproof, you can clean it with warm water and mild soap. Without any crevices or hard-to-reach areas, you pretty much just stick the Nova 2 under the water, soap it up with some silicone-friendly soap (which is most household soaps), and scrub-a-dub-dub. You can towel dry it if you'd like, but I have the luxury of just tossing them onto the sink and allowing them to air dry. Only use water-based lube with the We-Vibe Nova 2. If you want to experiment with other types, make sure to do a small spot test near the base of the toy. The shipping box from Kinkly Shop, like always, was entirely discreet. With We-Vibe Nova 2's sturdy exterior box, the box was just double-wrapped in an opaque shipping bag. There was no mention of what was inside or where the package had come from. The quick-start guide includes most of the information that you'll need to use the We-Vibe Nova 2 easily right away. It's a mixture of illustrations and words—though I occasionally wish it had more words in addition to the illustrations. For example, the only information about how to clean the We-Vibe Nova 2 is a picture of the Nova 2 being run under a faucet, which is useless. I love the We-Vibe Nova 2. This is, FINALLY, a rabbit vibrator that makes me feel like my anatomy is "normal" by perfectly fitting into both of my pleasure spots in a truly orgasmic way. The vibrations are so powerful that orgasm feels easy and effortless - never forced. The controls feel entirely natural, and the vibrator snuggles into all of my pleasure spots perfectly. Honestly, it feels like THIS is what rabbit vibrators were meant to be all along. Speaking of power, the We-Vibe Nova 2 offers powerful vibrations well-beyond even most clitoral toys, and you can easily fall into one (or more!) powerful orgasms with the power of the We-Vibe Nova 2. Like the Lora DiCarlo Osé 2 review and the Lora DiCarlo Filare review, there's nothing out there that really provides the exact-same stimulation as the We-Vibe Nova 2. (I feel like I'm getting to be a broken record about it, but it IS called the New Toy to Know; it makes sense it'd constantly be amazing new toys who are pushing the boundaries of innovation!) Both rabbit vibrators are compatible with the We-Connect wireless control app as well! At a similar price point, though, you might as well pick up the new-and-improved Nova 2. You'd think those vibrations would come with some noticeable noise, but nope, nothing. With the We-Vibe Nova 2 inserted, it's actually hard for ME to hear it while using it. It's almost silent in the exact same room, and it's impossible to hear outside of a closed door—even without any other noise going on. The We-Vibe Nova 2 is a bit louder when it's outside of a body, but even then, it's still hard to hear it, even while I'm HOLDING the vibrator—much less someone else hearing it. It's just downright impressive.

The + and - buttons increase and decrease the vibration patterns. If you want to go straight for balls-out pleasure, you can hold the + button to get quickly to maximum vibration. The buttons allow you to scroll through the different patterns.
The last button, the Toggle button, is actually the most important button. This button allows you to switch between the motors of the We-Vibe Nova 2. By default, when you turn the We-Vibe Nova 2 on, the vibrations can only be felt in the clitoral arm.
In a really unique method of vibration, the We-Vibe Nova 2 can do any of the patterns in any of the Toggle combinations. If you like the Dot-Dot-Dash vibration pattern, it can be on the shaft-only, clit-only, or both motors.
As a final note, the We-Vibe Nova 2 also includes a travel lock. This will "lock" the vibrator from accidentally turning on from any of the usual button presses until you press this unique combination again. (It's especially helpful for flights where anything vibrating is not a good thing, but it can keep your toy from vibrating itself to an empty battery on car trips too.) Press and hold the Plus and Minus button at the same time for 2 seconds. The Nova 2 will blink, and the toy will be locked until you repeat that combination again.
The We-Connect app is the same app that We-Vibe uses for all of their We-Vibe Bluetooth-enabled vibrators, so if you already have a couple of We-Vibe items, you already have the app you need.
The We-Connect App partnered with the We-Vibe Nova 2 adds more functionality to the We-Vibe Nova 2. It allows for more precise control over the toy's vibration functions, and it allows for some unique ways to play with the Nova 2 (like long-distance control or as a music sync vibrator). However, it isn't necessary to really enjoy the Nova 2, and you can go without using the We-Connect app and still enjoy the heck out of the Nova 2.

While others also love the app-controlled We-Vibe Nova 2 features, some people do have complaints about lags of the control including the reviewer from Princess Previews mentioning:
Before your next use, you'll want to charge up the We-Vibe Nova 2 again. (A vibrator dying mid-use is the WORST.) The We-Vibe Nova 2 includes a magnetic charging design to go along with the vibrator's fully waterproof design. Just place the magnetic charging cable over the port connectors on the handle of the rabbit vibrator, and it'll charge itself. (Make sure everything is dry before you connect the two!)
Once you have the Nova 2 on the charger, expect for it to hang out about 90 minutes there. The light on the We-Vibe Nova 2 helps you figure out when this silicone rabbit vibrator is fully charged. Once it's fully charged, you get up to 2 hours of playtime from it - which is a pretty respectable amount.
The We-Vibe Nova 2 is covered under a 2-year warranty against any defects in the workmanship or materials. In order to make a warranty claim, you'd need the proof of purchase, the purchase date, the purchase location, the defect description, and the product serial number. (This is one of the big reasons I always recommend taking photos of the serial number on boxes before you toss the box - like if you're going to use the drawstring bag for the storage of the Nova 2. Make sure you have that serial number and keep your purchase confirmation email from Kinkly Shop!)
The We-Vibe Nova 2 comes snugly packaged in a sturdy, cardboard box. This box is impressively sturdy—like most We-Vibe packaging, honestly. It will work great for long-term storage, and it can be stacked up in gigantic piles of sex toys without harming the box—if that's your thing. The box isn't discreet, however, and clearly shows illustrated diagrams of how to use the Nova 2 on the outside. It is a beautiful pink and purple design, though, that I could easily see standing out on the toy retailer shelves.
Inside of the box, you'll find the We-Vibe Nova 2 on its nice, made-for-it tray. Under the tray, you'll find the magnetic USB charging cable, a silky drawstring storage bag, a quick-start user guide, and a sample of the We-Vibe Lube. (Which does include Glycerin, which a 2013 study linked to yeast infections so that might be something to keep in mind.)
As if the We-Vibe Nova 2 wasn't amazing enough (with the super-pleasurable design!), but it's pretty astounding that it's so quiet too. I rarely use sex toys this quiet, but the We-Vibe Nova 2 is scarily quiet. It can even be hard to hear its gentle hum while I'm holding it in my hands. Partnered with its waterproof capabilities, this makes the We-Vibe Nova 2 a toy-of-choice for anyone who needs discreet pleasure options.
I really, really don't have anything to nit-pick about the We-Vibe Nova 2. Even if I was being really picky, I've got nothing. The We-Vibe Nova 2 is amazing at what it does. The adjustable g-spot end slides into place - and stays there - with a wide range of g-spot fit options. The clitoral end bends flawlessly, and when it does bend, it doesn't lose any of its power.
For now, while We-Vibe still makes it, you could choose to pick up the Nova 1 instead. The Nova 1 offers a similar design, but it does not have the adjustable g-spot shaft like the Nova 2 has. The vibrations are similar, and the clitoral arm's reach (and design!) is also similar as well. The We-Vibe Nova 2 also changed and improved the control panel.
If the constant-contact clitoral portion isn't what's selling you on the We-Vibe Nova 2, you could also choose to pick up the LELO Ina 2. The LELO Ina 2 has a very similar shape to the We-Vibe Nova 2 - but without the adjustable g-spot design. The LELO Ina 2 is also available in a multitude of different, playful colors. The Ina 2 also has a bendable clitoral arm, but it isn't nearly as fluid and flexible as the We-Vibe Nova 2. If you don't think you'll get enough "pressure" from the arm of the We-Vibe Nova 2, the LELO Ina 2's less-flexible clitoral arm will provide more clitoral pressure.
If you like the general shape of the We-Vibe Nova 2 and want to upgrade the internal shaft into something that better strokes the g-spot for you, you might like the LELO Ina Wave. The LELO Ina Wave offers the same features of the LELO Ina 2 - but with a few more added in. Most notably, the shaft of the LELO Ina Wave moves itself against the g-spot in a come-hither motion.
