Sensual Bondage

Definition - What does Sensual Bondage mean?

Sensual bondage involves not only restraining a person's movements during sexual activity, but also providing them with pleasurable sensations through bondage. This can be achieved by using different materials, such as rope, silk fabric, chains, etc., as well as by strategically placing knots and chains to enhance pleasure or sensations.

Kinkly explains Sensual Bondage

Perhaps the best-known form of sensual bondage is Japanese bondage, also known as "shibari." The intricate work of ropes and knots is meant not only to bind the person in a visually pleasing way, but also to provide pleasure through pressure at certain points of the body, for example the clitoris.

Sensual bondage doesn't have to be heavy bondage. The feeling of silk rope or cold chain on skin can be enough to provide new and exciting sensations for the person being tied up.

Sensual bondage also involves using the person's now vulnerable state to provide sensations that they cannot avoid: ice against skin, oral sex, feathers, light whipping, etc. The overall goal of sensual bondage is not so much to make the person perfectly immobile as to enhance physical pleasure by restricting movement.
