Definition - What does Ball Hood mean?
A ball hood is an inflatable hood that is worn over a person's head through a zipped or buckled opening around the neck. It is a bondage and sensory deprivation gear, designed to apply even pressure around the head while denying the wearer of the sensation of sight, sound, smell, taste and touch. It is made of two layers of rubber. The inner layer is thinner than the outer layer. Air is pumped in between. The thin inner layer allows the wearer to feel the pressure from the pumped air. Breathing is done through an inserted tube.
Kinkly explains Ball Hood
Sensory deprivation through a ball hood can be very relaxing for a given period of time, depending on the individual. However, wearing the hood for an extended period can cause depression, hallucinations, anxiety, and other behaviors. While one can potentially operate the gear alone, doing the play with a partner is safer. Never leave your partner alone when they are wearing a ball hood.
