Peyronie’s Disease

Peyronie's Disease is a condition in which men experience painfully bent or curved erections due to the formation of scar tissue inside the penis. In addition to causing pain and anxiety for men who experience it, Peyronie's Disease can also make erection difficult to achieve and prevent men from engaging in sexual intercourse. For some men, the condition clears up on its own. For many, once the penis curves, it stays the same or worsens. For these men, there are treatment options available.

While the causes of Peyronie's Disease are not entirely clear, many believe that it is largely cause by trauma to the penis usually from sexual intercourse. What is noteworthy about this theory is that patients often report no recollection of such trauma.
