A prostate massage refers to the act of massaging or stimulating the prostate gland. This may be for sexual pleasure or for medical reasons.
Prostate massage may also be referred to as prostate milking. However, there is a difference. Prostate milking refers specifically to internal massage of the area on the rectum's anterior wall. A prostate massage, on the other hand, can refer to external massage of the perineum, which can indirectly put pressure on the prostate.
The prostate gland plays an essential role in ejaculation, and thus stimulating it can enhance sexual pleasure. Most often, the prostate is accessed through the anterior wall of the rectum. When the prostate is stimulated for sexual purposes, it can be referred to as the "male g-spot." Climax can often be reached solely through prostate stimulation.
The prostate can be stimulated with fingers, penises, dildos, prostate massagers, or other sex toys.
