Definition - What does Topping mean?

Topping refers to being the dominant partner in sex. The designated top takes control of the act and commands the designated bottom to abide by their will. Topping requires a person to lead the orgasmic dance. Thus, a top has to know what they're doing. It sounds like a lot of fun, but it isn't for the weak-willed and shy.

Kinkly explains Topping

One who aspires to do the topping has to be sexually confident. It requires that one knows what one wants in sex and knows how to get it (with consent). Of course, this shouldn't take the bottom for granted. Satisfaction has to be two-way. A bottom has needs that a top should know how to fulfill. Being fully dominated sexually is just one part of it.
