Definition - What does Voyeurism mean?

Voyeurism is the sexual interest of watching activities, typically activities that are private or intimate in nature, without the knowledge or permission of the person(s) being watched. The main characteristic of voyeurism is that the voyeur, the person watching, does not engage directly with the person being watched.

Kinkly explains Voyeurism

The term voyeurism is derived from the French term "voyeur" which literally means "one who sees." Classically, the term has carried with it a sexual connotation, but it can also be applied to watching non-sexual activities. An example of this would be the concept of reality T.V shows. Usually, the voyeur is spying on intimate activities such as a person changing clothes or engaging in sexual activity, and feels pleasure or excitement while watching.
