It's May again, which means masturbation time. OK - that can be any time you feel like it, but #MasturbationMonth means that you get to celebrate it too. So, this week we decided to have a special version of Sex Stories We Love, one that's all about self pleasure. Here are all the interesting stories we found about it on the Web over the past week. Enjoy!

Mondays Don't Suck; They've Just Gotten the Wrong Rub

In case you aren’t already into #MasturbationMonday, it’s a popular pic sharing meme on social media. Kayla Lords of A Sexual Being has taken #MasturbationMonday one step further. She finds inspirational masturbation pictures and shares them on her site as writing prompts every Thursday. What started as a writing exercise for the sex blogger and BDSM novelist has caught on with several other writers. What’s cool about Kayla’s spin on this meme is that while every picture tells a story, not every writer tells the same story about the same picture. Actually, they’re very different stories.

HK Carlton took an excerpt from his book, "Better Than Another Man", and used a picture that Kayla posted to change things just a bit for two men who are best friends - one gay, one straight. The result is a very creative, tender, and intimate way to feel passion for each other as well as themselves. The same picture inspired Cara Thereon to tell a tale about a man who is disturbed and conflicted by his steamy desires that he can’t act out or repress: one for a man, the other for a woman.

Sometimes, writers like Christina Mandara get their own ideas of what they hope will get readers running for the first comfortable and private spot they can find. A tube of lube and the highest speed on a wand massager just might not be enough to get through this deliciously torturous passage between a bondage master and two women from her book, "A Rough Ride." The woman who pens the blog Dawn’s Night expresses how serene and peaceful some time alone in the tub can be in poetry. Is that comfortable and private, or what?

Masturbation Almost Cures All

What’s that one thing that can prevent prostate cancer, alleviate urinary tract infections, reduce stress, help you sleep, bolster your immune system, and improve your sex life? It’s not a new wonder supplement that’s making the rounds on late-night infomercials. It is, however, the one thing that Beverly Hills psychotherapist Dr. Fran Walfish recommends for self-care as well as self-pleasure. Check out the reasons why masturbation is just what this doctor orders in Pop Sugar.

Must Try Masturbation Tips for Men

Let me start off with the disclaimer that straight guys shouldn’t have their masculinity threatened by these 11 masturbation tips that come from gayguys.com. After all, gay men masturbate the same way straight men do. There’s nothing outlandish about these tips although some of them might sound unconventional on the surface. Once you get past the some of the weirdness about how jelly or Vap-O-Rub can enhance male self-pleasure, there’s plenty of rationalization about how and why these techniques work. All of these tips pretty much guarantee that a man will never go back to just using a tube of lube or lotion to jack off ever again. There’s nothing that says that partners can’t pick up a few tricks to give their guy the ultimate hand job too.

How and Why Women Masturbate Differently Than Men

Aside from having different genitals, women and men masturbate very differently. Is it common and usual for women to have a good time with themselves with candlelight and a glass of wine? Absolutely! Is it odd that a woman would hump a stuffed animal to get off by herself? Yes and no. Since the typical girl didn't have access to sex toys as a child, family and marriage therapist Moushumi Ghose told Men's Health magazine that as a child she probably "used stuffed animals, furniture, and an electric toothbrush. It doesn't make her a freak, nor is it a sign of sexual abuse. It really is more common than most think."

A Legitimate Reason to Laugh About Masturbation

People do crazy stuff. That’s why this story about a mom calling the police and having her 15-year-old son arrested for "self-rape" might sound believable. The site, News Examiner, looks legit. The journalistic style of writing in the story is on par, if not better than, most newspapers. And would it surprise anyone that a state like Alabama would have a law on its books that criminalizes masturbation. This story is satire at its best. Share it on your Facebook wall or Twitter feed and watch the crowd go wild.
