Our Top 100 Sex Blogging Superheroes of 2016

The results are in! Every year for the past four years, we've set out to highlight the best sex blogs on the Web. Last month, we put out the call once again for our readers to nominate their favorite bloggers. All told, we got more than 5,000 votes from readers!! With those in hand, we set out to read them and select our favorites. Let's just say that spending a few days reading sex blogs and calling it "work" isn't such a bad gig!

Having run this list for a few years (check out the lists for 2013, 2014 and 2015), it's great to see so many fun, fascinating new blogs popping up each year. It really helps to shake things up!

As in past years, we gave top marks to blogs with great writing, frequent updates and sex-positive sensibilities. Of course, we threw in a few points for the blogs that entertained and inspired us the most. Then, we combined the scores from our internal staff with readers' votes to come up with our top 100.

Last year, we decided to break out some additional categories to help better highlight some bloggers that might not make the top 100 or get as much attention. We loved that format and have decided to stick with it this year. We've also decided to reward the overall and category winners with promotion on Kinkly.com. The Internet's greatest currency is new visitors; we hope we can pay it forward by sending some traffic to our sex-positive friends in cyberspace.

Top New Sex Blogs of 2016

This category is for blogs that are new to the scene and did not appear in last year's top 100. The winner of this category will be featured as a Sex Blogger of the Month. We'll also provide one-day promotion via a feature banner on our entire site.

Top Erotica Blogs of 2016

This category will honor the top blogs for sexy erotic fiction. The winner of this category will be featured as a Sex Blogger of the Month. We'll also provide one-day promotion via a feature banner on our entire site.

Top Sex Toy Review Blogs of 2016

This category celebrates the top blogs for sex toy reviews. The winner of this category will be featured as a Sex Blogger of the Month. We'll also provide one-day promotion via a feature banner on our entire site.

Top Sex Blogs for/by Men of 2016

This category will shine some light on a growing - but often underrepresented - segment of sex bloggers. The winner of this category will be featured as a Sex Blogger of the Month. We'll also provide one-day promotion via a feature banner on our entire site.

Kinkly's Readers' Choice Award

This category represents the blogs that received the most votes from Kinkly readers. The winner of this category will be featured as a Sex Blogger of the Month. We'll also provide one-day promotion via a feature banner on our entire site.

Finally, the overall winner of our top 100 Sex Blogging Superheroes will receive a $500 cash prize from Kinkly.com in addition to one-day promotion on Kinkly.com.

Oh! And one final thing to note: We hired illustrator Veronica Alvarado to create the feature image for this piece. If you love it as much as we do, we hope you'll give her a shout out on Twitter or Instagram.
