It's been a sexy, fun week. People have provided their experience during an orgy and we can see just how far dating, relationships, and sex have come when compared to days gone by. We're also very grateful to live in the age of Internet where we can learn so much from others!

Orgy Offerings

The thought of attending an orgy both titillates and frightens people. Sure, there’s the opportunity for fun and adventure, but there’s also the chance you’ll be left out and left behind if the other participants don’t find you attractive. That situation could be very hard on your self-esteem. Would an orgy in complete darkness put all participants on an equal sexual level? Relationship advice columnist and sexuality advocate Cynthia Loyst has launched a new project called Find Your Pleasure and she recalls a time she covered just such a sex event and how it made her feel both during and after. I’ve long been fascinated by this type of sensual situation (because I am utterly shy), but I have a feeling I’d still likely sit back and listen and just let my imagination run wild.

Hysterical Sex History Lessons

We all know that looking back into history can leave us with awkward feelings - especially when it comes to sex. As our understanding of sex, sexuality, and gender continues to develop, we see that the thoughts, advice and dictates of the past can generally be regarded as foolish, simple and outright cruel. And, of course, women took the brunt of the rules of sexual behaviour. This collection of historically awful morsels of past sex and relationship policies peels the curtain back on the oppressive and laughable ideas people had and makes our current times seem utterly liberated and free.

Words of Wisdom

If you want to learn a thing or two about sex from something old, try asking an older person. I’m not going to say I agree with each and every bit of sex advice these older folks offered up, but I’d much rather talk to someone with actual actual experiences in different times and eras to see where I stand in the world of sex today. It is also very cool that older folks are talking to each other in message boards! We already know that for some people, maintaining a healthy sex life into your later years is a benefit. Let’s keep these conversations within and among generations going!

Sex-Positive Progress

All social movements need room to grow. If there is no opportunity for an ideology to expand, include, revisit and reconsider, then it cannot be thought of as a movement—a word that necessarily invokes the idea of action. When I was first exposed to the idea of sex positive, I was all for it and quite delighted about it. The idea speaks to me. Yet over the years, I’ve seen how the term, or more correctly, the limited ideas around the term sex positive, do not always speak to me or many others around me. This is not to say that it isn’t a good idea, but it is one that needs to ebb and flow as different people and communities encounter and engage with it. Sometimes, you see resistance to evolving, but there is a great amount of forward momentum as well.

Good News for Sex Creators

Independent adult content producers have just received a big boost in their efforts to produce and distribute their amazing works. Patreon, the crowdfunding site that allows people to directly support adult artists and creators, has learned that PayPal will, once again, be processing payments through Patreon. This is a big deal because PayPal stopped supporting adult content well over a decade ago, and many people have felt the hammer come down. This has always proved to be a difficult situation for people who make adult-themed art, writing, and more because PayPal is fairly ubiquitous in the online payment world. Many people who make sexy things suffered greatly because of PayPal’s policies. This new direction could be a tremendous boon and hopefully we see more inspired and exciting work to come!

Poke-Me-Mon?

Well, we all knew these were coming...but are you going to want to catch them all? Shortly after Pokemon Go became the sensation of Summer 2016, the always fun Australian sex toy company Geeky Sex Toys reached out to Cara Sutra (who was, apparently, quite a Pokemon catcher in her day!) to tell her about their newly introduced line of Pokemon-inspired sex toys. Three dildos and a butt plug! Are they going to be enough to convince people to stay home for a little while instead of hunting Pokemon? Or are they going to inspire the site of little monsters between your legs during sexy time? Please do write in and share if that thought turns you on, I’m wondering if Pokerotica might be on the horizon too ...
